The Market at St. Marys

Each aspect of our work at St. Mary’s is about building relationships. The Market provides space for an active and loving presence, touching individuals and families who, for whatever reason, find themselves without enough food to eat. In our best-in-class, market-style food pantry, nearly 500 households each month shop for dry and canned goods, fresh bread, meat and produce (free of charge).

There are many different jobs to do, including picking up donated food from vendors, data entry, shelving inventory, and assisting neighbors as they shop. Volunteers come from St. Mary's and its surrounding neighborhood, other churches, schools and individuals who want to be a part of forming community in a relevant and meaningful way. Help is always needed.

Dry good donation dropoff hours:  Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:30am-12:00pm in the alley behind the church, accessible from 9th Street between Laura and Silver Streets.

The Market is open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons by appointment only. To request an appointment, please call (904) 354-5075 and leave a message at extension #7, or for more information lgavronsky@stmarysjax.org

There are volunteer opportunities in our pantry and gardens every weekday. For more information about serving as a volunteer, email cmontgomery@stmarysjax.org.
